Mount Zion Bible Institute

to glorify God by teaching His Word,
distributing courses worldwide without charge

Mount Zion Bible Institute (MZBI) is a school for knowing Jesus Christ through His written Word, the Holy Bible. Many courses are available; most are based on Christian classics from prior centuries that have stood the test of time. The emphasis is on personal application to the heart (therefore, no 'diplomas' are offered).

Distribution via the Internet

You can download courses worldwide without charge, for independent study or for review (note: no mailing of lessons). And you can register as an independent student for these downloaded courses (optional, not required).

Content

See the complete course descriptions for the course contents, including lesson outline, aim, overview, difficulty, prerequisites, and prior students’ comments.

Authors from prior centuries include C. H. Spurgeon (Baptist), Horatius Bonar (Presbyterian), J. C. Ryle (Anglican), A. W. Pink (non-denominational), and John Bunyan (Independent). No particular denomination is emphasized; the courses are designed to focus the student on the Bible as the Word of God. Each course consists of reading material with study questions for each chapter.

There are courses in four areas of study:
1) salvation from sin for those new to Bible study,
2) practically walking in faith through daily life,
3) general studies, and
4) doctrine for those wanting a solid foundation for their faith.

The FAQ section (Frequently Asked Questions) provides other information. This includes help in downloading course files, an explanation of the special need for Bible training in the third world, philosophy of training, and a doctrinal statement (although the Bible itself and heart relationship to Christ are the emphases throughout).
